How to apply for the rebate

Step 1: Check if your business is eligible and register for the scheme

To be eligible, your business must be located and operating in Victoria, hold an Australian Business Number (ABN), and have held that ABN and been registered for GST before or since 13 September 2019.

Step 2: Sign up to a WorkflowMax trial and book a scoping call

Sign your business up to a WorkflowMax free trial and book a call with us before the 5 December application deadline. We’ll help you evaluate the software to make sure it’s right for your business. Then you need to subscribe to WorkflowMax at the end of your trial.

Step 3: Select the implementation option that fits your business

Choose to set up WorkflowMax on your own or work with an expert implementation partner. We’re  also offering a range of special offers for implementation under this scheme.

Step 4: Submit the supporting letter and subscription invoice to the Victorian Government

Complete the online application by 5 December 2021, and include the proof of purchase letter that WorkflowMax will send you, along with your latest WorkflowMax invoice. Upon approval from the Victorian Government, you will be reimbursed directly.

Small Business Adaptation Program FAQs

A $20m investment in the sector designed to increase Victorian small business’ digital capability by encouraging them to trial new software.

On the condition that you haven’t used WorkflowMax before, you’ll be entitled to a reimbursement of $1,200 after buying a subscription, and confirming to the Victorian Government (once they contact you around six weeks later) that you’re continuing to use the product. The $1,200 rebate can go towards the subscription to any of our plans and/or work with an implementation partner.

You’ll also need to be a Xero customer.

While you’re welcome to spread the $1,200 across a number of subscriptions, you will only receive the one reimbursement.

In order to sign up for the program, you must:

  • Have held a valid ABN since 13 September 2019
  • Be a sole trader, micro business or small business 
  • Operate your business in Victoria 
  • Be registered with the responsible Federal or State regulator
  • Be a new customer to the product
  • Pay for the subscription yourself
